Pick a size for the number of people, pick the flavour, write the message. That is a signature cake, and it is how most birthdays in Kitchener-Waterloo are ordered here. If the birthday person has a design in mind — a colour, a theme, a shape — a custom cake starts from a published price and Ajsel agrees it with you before you pay a cent.

The right size

Six inches for a table of eight. Eight inches for the usual party of sixteen to twenty. Ten inches when the whole family and the neighbours are coming. The servings are on each cake below, so nobody goes without a slice.

Flavours people ask for again

Pistachio, rose and lemon, orange blossom, tahini and sesame — and the ones every birthday needs too: red velvet and fudge chocolate. The flavour atelier on the home page walks you through them.

Halal without asking

Every cake is halal by default: no gelatin, alcohol-free extracts, no rum in any syrup. It is not a special request here; it is simply what Ajsel bakes.

Pickup in Kitchener

Cakes are collected in Kitchener, and we serve Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph. The calendar shows only the dates Ajsel can make, so a date you can choose is a date you can have.
