A cake for the nikah, drawn up with you before you pay.
A nikah can be close family in a living room or a full hall for the walima, and the cake has to suit both the room and the two families. Ajsel draws a design from what you tell her and agrees it with you before anything is paid. It is baked in Kitchener with no gelatin in anything and alcohol-free extracts only.
Two tiers, from a published price
The two-tier cake serves 45–55 and starts from the price below, so you know where the conversation begins. It needs 21 days’ notice. The calendar only offers dates Ajsel can genuinely make, so the earlier you ask, the more of them there are.
Agreed before anything is paid
Tell us the date, the number of guests and what the day looks like: the colours, the flowers, a pattern from the invitation. Ajsel draws it up and tells you plainly what she can make. Only once you have agreed it is anything paid: 50% to hold the date, the rest 48 hours before the day.
Halal is how the kitchen is built
No gelatin in anything, including stabilisers and fondant. Alcohol-free extracts only. No rum or liqueur in any syrup, filling or buttercream. Ajsel stands behind it by name, and the whole policy is on the What’s in it page.
For the guests who go home
After a nikah the sweets go round. The box of 40 assorted syrup sweets is made for exactly that, and the gift box of 12 keeps for days and travels well, for the relatives who could not come.
The cakes, with their prices
Prices are in CAD and final; no tax is added. A “from” price is a starting point that Ajsel confirms with you before anything is paid.
